About Our Chapter

Stockholm+Acumen is a Stockholm-based volunteer-led chapter of the international non-profit organization Acumen. We are part of a global community of changemakers, which shares the vision and supports the goals of Acumen “to create a world beyond poverty by investing patient capital in social enterprises, emerging leaders, and breakthrough ideas.” We are working to educate our local community about social enterprise, longer-term financial investments, and philanthropy, that produce both social and financial returns.

Meet the team

Jenny Fürstenbach

Chair

Jenny has worked in various roles in the non-profit and for-profit sector in Stockholm, London and Tokyo, driving change processes within the fields of sales, finance, organisational development and leadership. Interested in many things she has complemented her M.Sc. in Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics with studies in human rights, democracy and environmental studies and has followed Acumen since 2009. Jenny lived with her family in Japan for three years working as head of sales for Scandinavian Airlines and during that time participated in a couple of events organised by the Tokyo+Acumen chapter. So the idea to start up Stockholm+Acumen was actually born in Tokyo!

Anna Billow

Co-Chair

Anna is a dedicated communicator who is passionate about making the world a better place for all of us. Her interests range from social community work to global issues, mostly with environmental and sustainability focus. Environmental injustice where people with the least resources are the ones suffering the most from the lifestyles of the rich, is something that upsets her tremendously.

Working with Stockholm+Acumen complements her existing engagements with a strong social focus and also connects with her background in asset management. Anna has an MSc in business administration and marketing.
